I know this isn't much of a blog post really, I just wanted to share the absolute joy I take in Cadbury's Creme Eggs. I bloomin' love 'em.

London at Sundown - Fiery Skys & Magical Lights

You got the love...

I just asked Jon if it was ok to blog about this, he said yes, so here I go!

17th March Redchurch Gallery - The School of Communication Arts 2.0 had a party!

The premise was to reignite the spark between advertising agencies and advertising students as it seems recently graduates have fallen out of their favour. The SCA 2.0 wanted to show them they are the hottest new talent in town and have made it their mission to bring the lost love back! SCA 2.0 showcased some of their best work and I hear the audience of top creatives were suitably impressed.

This sign in the window is 250,000 calories worth of Galaxy chocolate! Pretty fantastic. Check out how they made it here...

Last Wednesday my beautiful sister and I went to see a watercolour exhibition. The place was packed full of interesting landscapes and quirky animal painting.... I have to confess to being a bit of a pompous paint snob and loving the kudos that comes with oils. I love the smell and texture and association with the old masters but tonight I was very impressed with the watercolours... Check these artists out they were my faves! * just realised not all of these are watercolours but enjoy all the same...

...and then it was time for a dinner/business meeting! and obligatory mint tea! :)

A little birdy...

It's my father's birthday on the 26th so I thought I would make him a card. I already have his present, how organised is that?! I bought him a sculpture of a bat that hangs upside down. If you know my dad, you will know this present is perfect.

A Spring Saturday...

It's been a beautiful spring day today here in London, it seems like a universe away from the devastation in Japan after a huge earthquake and tsunami and the unrest in Lybia. The scenes on the news are unbelievable, I can't comprehend it.

Making colourful teaspoons and watching Wales win the rubgy seems trivial in the light of these events.

No that's cheating...

Well I'm a bit tired and a wee bit boozed after drinks with the girls in soho, so when I asked Jon's to help me write my blog he replied 'No that's cheating' hence the title of day 5's creative adventure. So here is my creative effort for tonight. Inspired by exciting London's fabulous soho night life.

Day 4

Here be a truth - blogging takes commitment.
As the evening seemed none existent by the time I got home from work and now its bedtime, I didn't have any time for creating so here is something creative I did at work. Not sure if this really counts, actually no it does count because this is my creative journey and there are no rules.

Ou sont les blaireaux?

Today's creative challenge pushed me to my creative limits... origami badger. It went a bit like this...

After some badger talk at work with my colleagues (as you do) and being pointed in the direction of paper by my 365 creative book, I settled on a paper badger as my next creative journey. It's surprisingly easy to find instructions on the internet so it was all going rather well until the tube ride home. One of my learnings from today is trying to do origami on the tube makes you feel sick. So I had to stop for a bit and have a snooze. After a dinner of breaded plaice (burger fish. copyright Jon) and sweet potatoes with cabbage, (I always like to know what people have for dinner so I thought you might be interested too) I set to task. Step 1-11 easy, then they must have missed a step because how you get from 11 to 12 foxed me completely. A long time passed and I still couldn't figure it out so I went off road and went my own way... I think you will agree the results are... terrible. BUT I did find some fantastic you tube clips - see below links, they are brilliant so some good came out of my failed badger.

Check these out. You will laugh.
